Cortefiel, an iconic Spanish fashion brand, was celebrating its 80th anniversary. And it wanted to mark the occasion in a way that encouraged people to see the past as a driving force for the brand’s future.
At the heart of the campaign is a historical fashion film that journeys through four major eras in Cortefiel’s history, beginning in the 1940s, when the brand opened its first store. However, despite this historical retrospective, the voice-over invites us to rethink our relationship with the past in order to focus on everything that is still ahead of us.
“Todo por vestir” is the campaign’s central concept. In Spanish, it is a play on words between vivir (“to live”) and vestir (“to dress”), suggesting that there is still “everything left to wear” — and, metaphorically, “everything left to live.”
